How do i handle a supervisor who seems to have ...

how do i handle a supervisor who seems to have singled me out by constantly writting me up for infractions? i have been in this dept for 4 years and never been wrote up by the former supervisors, this man comes into our dept and has written me up 4 times. in the past all my evaluations have been exemplary.  due to the 4 write-ups i am now on a three day suspension, if i receive one more write-up i will be terminated. this has caused me undue stress, i.m afraid to breathe the wrong way around this man.

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,

There is no way one can work in such an atmosphere.  If you can't get along with that superwisor I 'll suggest that you ask for an appoinment with the boss (above him).  At the meeting raise the point and say you are only looking for a fair solution that will enble you to work in a normal condition.  I know it's not an easy situation but the present situation is un-bearable !!!!.
I wish you the best of luck.

Hi Employee224,

This must be a bad situation. I don`t know what kind of job you are in. Is it possible to ask him which subjects, things you are doing good? And then what it is he are not satisfied with. Then make a plan with goals he should help you to gain and how he can do that. Then each week have a short meeting where you both talk about what was good and what do you have to work more on? This way he will be more involved in what and how you do the work and maybe he will look at you in another way and see not those things he are not satisfied with, but also those things you are doing good. I am sure if he open his eyes he will also see the good things you are doing...but of course some people are not willing to see the good things..if he is one of them, maybe time to move to another job. Here is an e-book I use in my business, and that is written for business, but you can use the information there in many ways. I think maybe it could help you. It is about different personalities and people can get help to understand their job mates, friends, spouses, etc... read it and see if you can use it for this situation....   http://bodil.successin10steps.com

Wish you all success in your job! And remember it is sometimes better just to find something other to do and get other people to work with.

Maybe you should look if you caould be your own boss?

First of all, i hope you have a performance plan with a list of the objectives that you have mutually agreed to with your supervisor.  If you are meeting these objectives, then you really have nothing to worry about, because if there is proof that you  are meeting the objectives, he will have hard time winning when you take the company to court or you report him to his supervisor or someone else up the ladder.

Just document very carefully everything that happens as it transpires.

Good Luck
