i recieved a bill a few days ago from county probation dept. i had no idea i owed the money. This is the first statement i have received. After calling the dept. i learned the bill originated from dej (deferred entry of judgement) $300 dated from 1994. This was along time ago. I was sentenced to formal probation and successfully completed it. Is this too old for the agency to try and collect the fees? Is this because of lack of funding for state and local government agencies?
