Why so much bickering on a site that is supposed to share knowledge?

Don't leave. The bickering is only a small percentage of the posts. Just ignore them.

Like anything else which is technology driven, Yedda experiences glitches fairly often.

Among these are vanishing answers and duplicate answers.

Those of us who have been around a while just think of them as the Yedda monsters. There is the 'Oops' monster, the 'Post-eating' monster and the 'Multiple post' monster - and if you stick around, you'll encounter all of them with regularity.

Oh Goodness, please don't leave Daniel53.  We need all the sane people we can find.  You will learn very quickly who to read and who to ignore.  Stay and have fun.  Welcome!

daniel53, I"m happy to see you are still with us! I have been on Yedda just a few months and have learned a great deal. Also I feel that I have helped some by my answers.

Stick with us and let us know in time if you decide to stay for good. OK?

Remember that there will always be differences in opinions ... that is what gives meaning to life. Neta has done all that is possible to resolve these issues.  The format may be cumbersome and now it has changed again! 

daniel53, sanity has many definitions. Do you remember the old joke about how best to empty a bathtub? Three choices: a spoon, a teacup or a bucket ... most will answer that a bucket would be best. Answers can be deceiving -- how about 'pull the plug?'

Makes sense, doesn't it? Know that you have more to offer than abusive comments  or derogating another . . . think about that before you make a decision!

Yedda offers a way to encourage sharing knowledge and so much more -- there are those that have been a part of Yedda and chosen encouragment. Consider all that is involved in an advertising based forum and as NJoy replied, "We need all the sane people we can find."

Daniel53, Some people enjoy what I call "nit-picking." 

They take apart every sentence and critique it until your head swims.  That's a good reason not to read or comment in the comment section. 

 Some, delight in clicking the "not helpful" sign when the only person the answer was not helpful for is the clicker of the "not helpful sign."  

 For some reason I have been getting these critics in my email as if I need/want to know what they've said.  I do not. 

 I will select the questions I want to read and ignore all the comments.  Good Luck to you in this regard as you join in the conversations.
