80 days old baby translates to approximately 3months, it is unusual for a baby to start teething at 3 months, i think you should try and explore other reasons why your baby is attimes crying,
1. check if s/he is confortable, i mean not hungry, not wet, not sleepy or even bored. babies too get bored and they can really ask for attention.
mum, do you breastfeed your baby or you just give it expressed milk, i would advice breastfeeding because it more soothing and comforting to the baby. when a mother is breastfeeding a baby stares at the mother with alot of joy , learns her face etc.
sometimes a baby if s/he is colic, for this case just let her lie on her stomach prefarably across your thighs then rub her back gently.
if not colic try and put it on your chest /shoulder and just cuddle, the rythm of your heartbeat is like like music, play soft music , move around with it or even sing a lullaby.
the cold teething ring??
anyway, if the crying persist consult your peadtrician for further investigation.
