can i take methylprednisolone before acth test ? i was weaned off of pred and given a 24 hour urine cortisol test. it came back low.  i have severe problems with cronic sinusitis and i became very ill i had no choice but to be put on a medrol dose pack 21s for it .my test is in 5 days and i will be on last day when i go. thanks any thoughts would be helpful i amsure my doc will be upset because he wanted me to tough it out.  i felt like i was gonna die my nose bleeding for 5 days severe inflammation fever severe joint aches leg pain diareaah i feel better now since i started the medrol

methylprednisolone will invalidate the test.

The length of time that a drug exists in a person's system is 5 times (half life of the drug). For example, if the half life were 12 hours, the drug should be out of your system by 5*12 = 60 hours.

I couldn't find the half life of Mp and anyway, you may have to wait a lot longer. You need to check with you doc on this one.
