Z"l ???

I want to know, what this Hebrew expression (z"l) means? Please help! My grandfather was a very-very devout Jew, praying many times a day as is required. My father kind of "hates" religion, and I know NOTHING. By the way only my father is Jewish, but I consider myself as fully-Jewish I am so incredibly Zionist beyond all limits! So tell me, what this means? Something like "Rest in Peace"?
