I'm a new employee at work and the people who work there are very unfriendly and downright nasty...this one guy has been nice to me and he even stood up for me when my supervisor was being unreasonable...then the employees and even his supervisor started ostracizing him. Now I don't want to indirectly sabotage his career especially when I don't see myself in that company for the long haul so I avoid him now. I guess my reasoning is that if the other employees see that there is no link between us ... I figure they would embrace him again. What's added to the fact is that I am attracted to this man..I mean who wouldn't be after what he did for me..but he has a girlfriend and I can see myself falling for him if I get to know him better..so avoidance I figure would be best for everyone involved. The only problem now is that I am terribly lonely at work especially when all the employees talk amongst themselves and exclude me..What should I do?
