My daughter has a woodpecker inside the siding and pecking through into the garage. She doesn't really want to fill the entrance hole and kill the woodpecker inside. How does she lure the bird out so that the siding can be patched?
if it's in the siding, it must have a nest in there, I would suggest you spray with an insectiside inside the garage where it may be trying to make a second entrance and or exit and hope that the nestlings are old enough to move out along with the mother.
believe it or not, all you have to do is hang a balloon next to the hole and the bird will leave and never come back. I've seen this work
