I remember we used something we got at the janatior supply store called a "Stripper" that was put down and then a scrub machine with a pad worked this into the floor, we picked this up with mop or wet/dry vac and it removed everything. You don't need to fear this stuff just because of the name, it isn't like paint stripper where you need to control it. It just attacks the wax. There might be better things out there I only mention this because it reminded me of our old floors.
