I have no question, just a statement. Many Americans, myself included, hope that President Obama will use his power and influence to coerce the Israeli government into stopping this war crime. We are also in hopes that he uses his office to get Israel off the American dole (giving away my tax dollars!), which only perpetuates the suffering and exploitation of the Palestinian people. Yes, Americans do love Israel. But we love the child that Israel once was, not the bully it has grown up to be. What is going on now is no different than what the Nazis did in the Warsaw ghetto. Israel may not like Hamas, but they are the elected government of the Palestinian people. Deal with them and make peace! This is obscene.
