Every transaction that comes out automatically has a name, address and phone number to where it goes. So your friend may have to go to the bank and ask to speak to a customer service manager to retrieve the information and may need to ask for a cancellation form to stop any future payments. Some of these auto pays are scams that like your friend do not know what it is and once the money is gone/paid it is almost impossible to get back. So many scams have money sent out of country to non extradition country's. If your friend is able to go to bank request he does as soon as possible. If not then be a friend and take the friend so at the very least to find out what it is and see if it is something thats supposed to be paid automatically. Never hurts to ask the bank branch manager. They hate scammers too. Gregory H.
When there's a question with my checking account and a withdrawl in question, I simply call the bank and they can usually give me the name and phone of the payee in question. then, it's just a matter of contacting them to get the info.
