What's his problem?

I filed for divorce from my second husband.  It appears that my demanding career choice not only give us a comfortable lifestyle, it ruined two marriages.  Nevertheless, after 3 years of separation, I filed.  The divorce was supposed to be uncontested. However, I received papers to the contrary.  It appeared that my 56 year old soon-to-be-ex ( 14 years older) did not appreciate bumping into me at a restraruant with his date and I happened to be on the arm of a 35 year hunk ( we've been together for 2 years).  What my ex's problem?

Drama. You are not going to like this. Why did it take 3 years? Why are either of you dating until you are divorced?

Hello

I agree about the 3years because I am 56 yrs. old and waited 12 yrs to push for a divorce. He would not sign. Probably because no.1 he had no girlfriend first and no.2 nothing in it for him. once he got the girlfriend it was OK with him but he thought he was getting a no fault uncontested divorce and 50/50 split. once he realized he wasn't he started demanding more. Well, the thing is that he is a musician with no benefits, 11 yrs. younger than me (2nd husband0 and was mooching me for all he could get. Luckily, I found out for sure about the girlfriend before I had him sign the divorce agreement and the final split. My job got us 2 homes he was not on either title or mortgage. then he wanted everything in the end.  He still lives here because we have to sell the house.  bad situation to be in when noone is buying. MY point here is, he should have waited to find the girl because we have a daughter and this isn't a good role model for her.  I decided to wait even at my age because she has enough to handle.  I can't believe this man is this insecure that he needed to have someone before he even left the house.  at least wait for final decree.  in your situation, although I totally understand 'forgetting the bastard'  that final divorce should have been pushed. God knows I tried. I asked 3 times.. only when he thought it would benefit him did he go for it. Had I realized I would be paying so much money for this divorce, I would have submitted my complaint without his signature because you don't really need it to file and it probably would have cost the same as I am paying now anyway. live and learn. Can't wait for him to be out of my life for good. never helped me or my daughter until he wanted to show he was doing something for her to the courts
