1. Everyone, including all Western Intelligence Agency’s [including the ones who did not support US involvement], believed that Saddam was trying to get a nuclear weapon, and already had chemical and biological weapons [after all, he had killed many with nerve gas already]. The lying, if that occurred, was in inflating the evidence. We have found out since, from Saddam, that he intended to make Iran think he had all these weapons [he succeeded too well].
2. To assume that, because one administration or group was lying, that the next is lying, is not logical. There is no cause and effect here. The next administration may be lying or may be telling the truth. What Bush did or did not do has no bearing.
3. Do you really think that the folks who bombed the Marine Barracks, attacked the Cole, blew up the embassy, and destroyed the Twin Towers, would not use them against us if they could get them?
4. Do you believe that Pakistan [with nuclear weapons and a history of leaking nuclear secrets], Korea [with a similar history], the dissolved Soviet Union with many out of work Military and Scientific folk who have the know how, and perhaps the access to nuclear, chemical, and biological information and materials, and Iran who [and just about the whole world believes that they are trying to develop a nuclear bomb] are near [estimates range from 10 months to 7 years] achieving their nuclear objectives, pose no threat to the US [by giving or selling or using WMD’s]?
5. Do you believe that you have enough information to declare that it is a “false state of contrived fear,” that the possible attacks are “imaginary,” that this is all “nonsense,” that to be aware of the risks is “foolish,” and that this is a “charade” [one that gets both democrat and republican, both liberal and conservative, both religious and atheist to come together to betray the American People?
6. Are you so sure, that you will risk the lives of your parents, your lover, your siblings, your children, your friends, and yourself. Are you so desperate, so in denial, and so evil?

We know that the US, India and israel are in the firing line of the Al-Quaida for a reason which is religion based not exactly political. Iraq was secular under Saddam but bentupon destroying Israel.

Unless Pakistan is sternly dealth with and sanitised of nuclear weapons there is always a chance of reaching it in the hands of terrorists. But who will deal with Pakistan? Pakistan is supported by the Chinese in their development of WMD.

It seems the world is going soft on Iran which as everyone is aware a religiously extremist nation which wants to destroy Israel and Rome.

Time is running out for the freeworld to deal with these two great threats of Pakistan and Iran.

As an immediate solution to the threat by WMD in countries like US, India and Israel, top most priority to internal security is the only way

All options should be open and on the table in dealing with Pakistan (rather Pakistan based terror groups) and Iran.

I make no assumptions---from my post find one. I would suggest you get a reliable text on Game Theory or statistics or even elementary probability. Your assumptions about the “law of averages” display a lack of mathematical knowledge.
No one has the capability to deliver them across the Atlantic or the Pacific and to penetrate our actual defensive shield.
We have no defense shield against missile attack. Our deterrent has been the threat of immediate response [MAD mutually assured destruction]. More to the point, with our miles and miles of unprotected coast, porous borders, and ineffective inspection of cargo, it would be easy to bring into the country the makings of a bomb. [for those who don’t know, a uranium bomb is rather easy to make if you have enough fissionable material. More if you don’t have to worry about size [putting it on a missile or carrying it in a plane], it is even simpler. One man could carry enough material across the border in a couple of suitcases [not even heavy ones] to blow up the largest American city. Sure he would have to acquire explosives here [not at all hard to do], some metal work, a detonator [nothing special], a little training, and a few weeks to do the work. We are not safe.

America needs to wake up and learn what is really going on in the world between X-box games, Football Sundays, their 40 hour work weeks in their disappearing jobs and industry and soccer practices. Morethanone, you raise a thoroughly disturbing issue: strategic and tactical special weapons.  These come in three PRIMARY modalities: nuclear, biological, chemical (NBC).  There are other modalities but let's not discuss potentially classified material on this board. 

These weapons are not hard for even a poorly funded nation to manufacture.  There have been a frightening number of "backyard" and "basement" weapons made in America, Britain, Canada, Mexico, and 110 less "civilized" nations.

What did they have in common?

1.  Disgruntled or dissonant citizens with average intelligence and a sufficient grudge to spend months on the Internet, finding nasty things to do to LOTS of other people.

2.  Socially inept persons who had a score to settle against "the establishment" or some other "generalized outer entity" whether that "entity" existed or not.  Often they just acted out hostility they learned in school.

3.  Persons who demanded "A sense of empowerment." 

4.  Others who are so far out of their minds I don't even want to think about them. 

It is in no way difficult to manufacture big nasty weapons.  Timothy McVeigh didn't need the backing of the Department of Energy or Sandia National Laboratories.  Nor does any other nut case.  These dangerous morons are all too glad to go out in a blaze of glory. 

In the case of nations, the sad but very real fact is that the only reason they do not do something stupid is the very real threat of immediate and overwhelming retaliation.

Mutual Assured Destruction?  MAD is the word!  But the only thing any madder is to light the fuse to the rocket that carries the first weapon.
