Visa advice needed for laos/thailand

if i travel to thailand, can i obtain a visa on arrival. i ahve been told these only last for 30 days, but if i go to laos for one day, it is extended by 15 days, is this correct, and if i am crossing into laos via the golden triangle area, can i buy a visa on arrival there, even if it is for a few hours??

Hello,

live in Thailand for 4 years now.

The best way is to get a tourist visa from you nearest Thai Counsulate or embassy.

Where do you live? If in the NW like Seattle, you can go Vancouver BC and get 3 -90 day tourist VISAS. That is the best way!
