if I have a recipe which asks for unsulphured molasses - do I use golden syrup or black treacle as a substitute? Are both of these unsulphured? or can I purchase the right ingredient in the UK?
It does not really matter which you use. If the recipe says dark molasses then use black treacle. You can buy molasses in speciality shops or delis but it is more expensive.
