littlelady

Ugly noise when turning right...

Just purchased a 2001 VW Jetta. Sounded great to start with. Took it to get the front brakes done....now I get this annoying humming/scrubbing sound when I make a right hand turn only. Guy said it's probably my bearings. Just don't sound right to me. Can anyone give me a second opinion?

littlelady, Ask the mechanic if he remembered to put a brake pad in when he did your brake job. If your brake pad wears out, I know the brakes will make a scraping noise.

I will do that. However, it's more like a moaning noise than scraping. Makes me think of the noise you get when your power steering fluid is low.
