UK recipe conversion

I am making a cake using Nigella's recipe.   The recipe states to use 1 1/2 sticks of butter.   Are the sticks of butter 125 gm each or 250gm.

Hi Beth,

1 stick of butter in the US is 113 grams or 4 oz.   Hope that helps!  Betsy
