I live in the City of Upland and see that there is a new Fire Station being built on Campus Ave. My Questions are, what percentage of the city residents have incomes comperable to those of the Upland Firefighters? What percentage of the city residents have benifits including pensions anywhere near those the firefighters recieve and finally what percentage of the city residents live in homes comperable to those that the on-duty firefighters will be while on work. My thinking is that we do have the demographic date to determine these answers but will find that over 85% of the residents live below that of the Firefighters and that we are being over-taxed for services that are too expensive.

Do the right thing. It's good to bend, just don't bend over.

So if your home catches on fire or a loved one has a heart attack, you'll be calling your accountant?

The response time is horrible in Upland and Rancho areas.  At least an accountant has an incentive.

What does the firefighter income have to do with the new station?!? You pay taxes to protect your family and possesions...this station is long over due - it should have been built at the same time as The Colonies as that development added many residents to an already over taxed system - you go ahead and continue your pathetic thought process of being a victim and hope you never need these people to help at your home for any reason since you are opposed to the station being built.

clueless aren't you, it is about paying too much for a building, paying too much for services in the city. Do you even know how much they make or what their retirement package is? It is about overpaying and being bullied by their unions. The taxpayer is the victim.

How about you put your life on the line every day and see what your worth is.   Try leaving the house every day not knowing if this is the day you may not return because you fight a fire that was set from pure stupidity.  Try kissing your spouse good bye every day and think he/she is not worried it may be the last.  They deserve more.

Get a life and improve yourself so that you don't feel compelled to attack those who serve the community and die much earlier than most because of their career!

your an idiot who know nothing, learn to read and you will see the abuses by the public employee unions through out the country. I do quite a bit better than most and pay more intaxes than you probably make. You sound like the wife of a public employee who knows nothing!
