The half life of librium is 5-30 hours. this means one dose could be out of the body in as little as 24 hours or as much as 6 days. When your body breaks Librium down, the chemicals is becomes act just like Librium. Ambien is not a benzo, but both of these medicines are sedative in nature, and personally, I do not think too much of combining them.
So. Do you want to tell us what chemicals you were dependent upon? Sleeplessness is very common in withdrawal. I would recommend some good books or puzzles.
