Tacky or could it be Classy?

I need to earn some money and do it fast...gee does that sound like every artist out there or what...LOL. I am an artist but I am also a jewelry designer/maker. I have a line of beaded jewelry that is done and ready to sell. Would it be tacky to use the ' yard sale' type of situation to sell them???? My signs would be very well done and say something more to the effect of 'jewelry show & sale' or 'hand made jewelry sale' instead of yard sale. Would it be any worse than a 'craft fair' venue? I have a very nice yard & front decking to do it on.

Turn off the television and teach your children how to think.

Personally, I don't see any 'tacky' part to what you describe.

Go for it! And good luck with your sale.

"Have you ever stopped to think and forgot to start again?" - Winnie the Pooh

I am far from someone that could judge something as "classy" lol..but I say GO FOR IT!  What is the worst thing that could happen?  You make some cash??? heehee.. WHY NOT!  Another thought: I was wearing a necklace I made the other day when I went in to walmart to get my haircut.  the girl cutting my hair begged me to bring in some bracelets to let her buy!  Maybe next time you are in that type of situation - you could ask if they know of anyone who may be interested in buying your jewels. Word of mouth is a great way to go. OH - for your sale.. dont' forget to make up some business cards or little papers with name and # to give out in case they need something in the future or want to tell a friend! Let us know how it goes!

Hand made with love

looks good. as long as your city has no ban on sign's. if you need a professional sign made, go to staples office supply. they print out business sign's. bye, laraine
