I have wondered that myself.
I know the reason this type of show is on tv, but why do these poor souls exhibit themselves this way?
The same as the pitiful folk who go on any of the sleazy talk shows and act so obnoxious. Even the supposedly "funny" home videos. How many times does one have to watch a person or animal hurt themselves and still find it "fun" to watch. I cringe when I see my fellow humans acting this way.
And for the life of me, I cannot figure out why "we" watch them enough to keep them on the air. Television has really been going down the drain for a long time now. The cable company calls and offers us hundreds of channels and I just laugh. "Dear Lord" I say, "I have deleted most of the channels I have now, why would I want to add more?" They thank me and try again in about 6 weeks. Such a silly business.
