I am considering options to prevent basement flooding when electric goes out to my sump pump. We have a generator but we need to be home to power up and this has been a problem. Battery backups I have seen are max. 3/4 horse power and only last about 4 hours, this will not do when I am often gone at work much longer. And I currently have a 1 horse sump pump which is the only effective pump I have found in a bad storm with power. I am looking at Hi Lo Industries HomeGuard Water-Powered Back-up System, have you worked with this system and have you had reported success rates in flood zones?
