stepfather stepson relationship, they use to get along and now that he is 15 stepdad cannot get along and has gotten touchy about inside jokes that he use to chuckle over. We moved during the summer 2500 miles away from friends and family. the children are in school, but we are still looking for jobs and we all have been in the same house without interruption of jobs for four months. Money is not the problem, when my eldest turned 15 we went through a small amount of drama but it last for a week and they talked and it was over. Now these two who were close are at each other and I am in the middle. I have expressed my feelings and have mediated with them on several occassions. They are not getting better, stepdad says he has had it and refuses to change his feelings. Son is good natured, good grade, just has a habit of running his mouth when he should keep it shut. This is the main issue with these two. I am at my wits ends trying to keep the house settled, my birthday is coming around which happens to be the day his mother died, two years before we met, but still is a difficult day for him. Can anyone direct me to info that may help one, two or all three of us. My daughter is not an issue, his daughter has never said a word to me in six years, so they are not involved. Just these two harded males.
