AHCCCS
I am in search of people who have any knowledge in reference to AHCCCS (Arizona Health Care Containment System). I would like to hear thoughts about various plans...which plan they like and why…THEN…which they don’t like and why. I have 2 adult children with Down Syndrome, ages are 25yrs old and 22 yrs old and both are in the system and have had Mercy Care Plan chosen for them. I only used Mercy Care for their meds, as my children have been covered under my husbands (step-parent) health plan at work.
Due to our atrocious economy, my husband’s place of employment has closed its doors after 60+ yrs in business. My husband, who is 63yrs old was (...is....I don’t know how to classify him) a new homes sales-person...need I say more!?!!! And he is so close to being able to retire with a credible monthly payment, he needs to hang in and not file for retirement!
I am sure that there are thousands upon thousands of people with hard luck stories...more heart rendering than the next! I pray for us all! I am just hoping to gain some insight to the AZ state health plans, so as to make an educated decision in the best interest of my children. So, anyone with something to say, please let me know!
