Smal part of ovary left after teratoma removal

my dr said i still had a functioning ovary and i could still get pregnant i had one ovary and tube removed in 2004 and and piece of the other ovary in 2005 and with my last c section he removed more of it and said it was only a very small piece left later fsh tests revealed an ovary was still functioning and i could still get pregnant anyone know more about this
