Skin/fur problem in a rabbit...

I have a pet rabbit, age approx. 6 yrs. She has developed well-defined areas of what appear to be very short fur, but I also notice she seems to be chewing at these areas. Some time ago, I had mentioned to the vet that her fur around her neck seemed to be more sparse. Any ideas what might be going on?

I'm not a vet but I'm thinking she could have a skin rash or be allergic to something. You might try taking her back to the vet to have her looked at more thoroughly. Good luck.

Actually, the fur came back in. She's not scratching and seems to be fine. I'll watch her and take her to the vet if needed.
