Hi Donna,
Good Morning to you. How are you doing these days? I hope
everything is OK with you.
DB, and a good day to u 2! Good to connect with you. I am still not working yet but finally making some progress. It takes time sometimes I guess and I found that I really had to stick to my guns and keep trudging on. What's up with you these days?
I haven't been active with Yedda lately. I had been working at the hospital and trying to do some lanscaping in my yard, planting fruit trees and caring for my dogs. It had been very nice lately between 85 to 91 degrees yesterday. I love the warm weather. I don't have much time to do Yedda except when I'm at work when it's not busy in Labor and Delivery. I hope my boss won't read this.
This is a busy time of year for births. I think when children are planned alot of people aim for summer so they get the summer off. Have you noticed any trend?
I noticed that it gets busier in Labor and Delivery starting June all the way to
November.
Hi DB, We had a trend where on or near the holidays the census went down when I worked on a telemetry unit. Also, we were prepared for increase when it snowed (cardiac patients shoveling); Easter ham (too much salt). Stuff like that.
I think that people get busy making babies in cold months. They get cooped up and don't have much outdoor activities to get busy with.
Anyway, I love it when it gets busy in my unit, it means job security.
