No. Real estate cannot be put in an IRA.

I am not sure if your primary residence is prohibited.  You can put real estate in an IRA, but it is complicated and expensive.  you lose all tax deduction benefits and various other benefits (personal property tax deductions etc.)  Selling the property again is complicated and expensive.  In almost every instance, it is not advisable to put property in an IRA.  Google search the internet for real estate in IRA  and contact some of the people who will do that for you.
