Mat. 6:33 "Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God and All these things Shall Be Added to You!!!
First off, Emotions do U Absolutly NO GOOD, so try to leave them at home for Family. We here try to help everyone we can to bring about a GOOD FIX for as little as possible. In order to do this we need to know certain things about the car & "Situation" which brought about the malfunction. So the first things we need are the Make, Model & Year of the car. next, what Engine, Transmission it has. How many Miles, Warranty, Location & General Weather at time of "Failure" (I hit a Mud Puddle). Has it been acting "Odd" for a while or did this just happen like an "Accident"??? I take it that "Someone" sold U a "Starter & "Installed" it??? What "Warranty" did they give U??? Does it say anywhere in the "Warranty" that the "Warranty is Void" unless worked on by their people??? If so, have it "Towed" back to them! If someone else has looked at it, did they take it apart??? If Yes, just have them put it back together, NOT FIX & pay the "Diagnostic Fee" if they have one, but NO MORE than 1 hour "Shop Rate"!!! This should give U a "Written Diagnosis" of the "Problem" to show the other "Shop" that their "Part" is "Defective" or that THEY SCREWED UP THE WIRING!!! Call the BBB, Manufacturer & FILE A COMPLAINT if they give U "Grief". Take down ALL THE PEOPLES NAMES INVOLVED & MAKE NOTES!!! For the "Starter Parts People" to tell U there is no "Warranty" is WRONG!!! So....like U took it somewhere else just for them to "Break" it for U??? How STUPID!!! U took it there because it WASN'T WORKING & they were the "Closest"!!! Good Luck, John

I would give my last dollar to one in need.
MY vehicle is a 2005 buick rendeavux. it has 33,200 miles, it is in the falls, and it is a 6 cylinder. i was running great tim it just stopped i was told due to the auto starter.it is an automatic transmission. plus i did leave my emotions at home. all took place at home via the phone. i have had my car for about 6months only, the dealer told me it was defective.messing up my car, they would not let the other company touch the vehicle in their lot,the other co said to tow it to them,if they take it out and the car works they will pay the towing fee and the cost ofo the defective starter.if it doesnt work then i have to pay for the towing and get it back to the dealer, the problem is,if the starter people take it out they usually leave the wires showing and i was told it isnt safe it they can short out and cause an igition fire. if they ruin or burn the wires i would have to take it to the dealer and have it fixed to gm ok and maybe lose my warrenty. the auto starter was to be life time warrenty. they will not gie me my money back if the other co removes it. each co is too busy calling each others liars, i was forced to leaveit at the dealer to fix and replace/repair the wires. they said i would have it back yesterday at 430 ut i never did. they said it will cost me 281.00 but those who did the auto starter will not give me my money back for the starter even if i give it back ot them.that is unfair.

Mat. 6:33 "Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God and All these things Shall Be Added to You!!!
It sounds to me as if it is still under Warranty & I'm not sure what Ur trying to tell me when U say: "if the starter people take it out they usually leave the wires showing and i was told it isnt safe it they can short out and cause an igition fire. if they ruin or burn the wires i would have to take it to the dealer and have it fixed to gm ok and maybe lose my warrenty." It sounds as if the "Starter Parts People" have worked on this several times before & left some "Bare Wires" hanging out somewhere??? If so, why go back??? Do U know if this has been a "Problem" for which G.M. has issued a "Recall Order" to fix a "Factory Problem"??? It is true, that if 2 bare wires touch, it could cause a "Short" which could cause melted wires. But unless someone "Altered the Wiring", why would they be "Bad/Bare"??? They don't come from Factory that way, so what do U have to worry about??? I don't know "Who" is TELLING U THESE THINGS, but there is no "Logic" to it unless they know something about the "Wiring Situation" that we are not being told??? Starters can be & are routinely "Tested" on machines which will tell if it's bad or not. If it is "Bad" they should give Ur $$$ back Period! U didn't answer the question of whether or not it is under "Factory Warranty"??? With the "Dealer" wanting to "Charge" U for the "Repair", it sounds as if for some reason they have already "Denied Warranty" to u for this "Repair"??? If so, have the "Starter Parts Company" do the "Repair" under Their "Lifetime Warranty" as if they screw up the "Wiring" they are "Responsible"!!! Any mechanic who would remove & replace a Starter while the Battery was hooked up is an Idiot & that's the only way wires could get "Burned up. U ALWAYS remove the negative battery cable to repair the Starter!!! John

I would give my last dollar to one in need.
they e only worked on my car once, and that was 6 month ago when they put the starter in it. i was told by the dealer that the wires were left to and that is how they leave them when the remove starters, the starter people did tell me they leave all the plugs on the wires also and spray them,so i guess i answered my own question,it was best to have the dealer work on it even though it will cost me more to get it back to gm standards than to risk a fire in my car and not have warrenty to fix it.the next thing is,i would thing the starter people should give me the money back for my starter ,esp if i return it to them, but they wont. by then if i were to take it there and find out it was defective thy would fix it for free.makes no sense does it. i guess my next more is is to notify our tv media and complain and see if doing it they give me the mone back plus the money for me having to pay to have it removed etc. if that doesnt work,i may try to go to small claims court. but in the future, anything i need done witha vehicle when buyingone i will see that the dealer does. but then, the lady who sold me the car from the dealer said these people work with thema nd do their starters, i guess she was lying to get a sale,i guess that is why she isnt there anymore too. thanks for your help and for talking with me via email. i will keep you posted, but how do i,.
