Scandinavian coast guard against Somalian pirates?

Now the United Nations MUST be requested to take action against the pirates off the east coast of Africa. Today the Security Council must be called to make the needed resolution. And then ask the governments and parliaments of Denmark and Norway to implement an effective coast guard there. Better late than never. Don't you agree?

To say nothing, especially when speaking, is half the art of diplomacy.

The problem is by the time the UN gets it act together who knows how many ships will be hijacked? Action should have been taken a long time ago to prevent this from happening; and it will continue to happen until a multi national force is patrolling the area. The UN? What about NATO joining in as well? What about the oil companies providing money to run these operations?

I really don't understand how do things like that can happen in today world! Pirates have no consequences of their actions and the world must obbey to their rules. I am always a "little bit" pissed of when I am hearing that anothet ship was kidnapped by pirates! It really makes me mad Yell

I agree action should be taken against these pirates and I also think it is a role for NATO.  The UN, is a waste of time. They never agree on anything - except condemnation of Israel for defending itself against terrorists.
