SUV will not start .

I own a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport 4.0 liter v6 and it will not start . When I try to start it, sounds like the engine is not getting fuel . The truck is equipped with a Fuel pump shut-off but I bought the truck used so it does not have a manuel to reset it . Please if anyone can help sent me an e-mail to outkast67@sbcglobal.net . the fuel shut off switch is usually located on the driver's side just inside the rear hatch. I would test the problem by pulling off one spark plug wire, have someone crank the engine while holding the end of the wire near some metal part of the engine. (don't hold the wire with your hand near the exposed end). If you see sparks at the end of the wire, there is probably a fuel problem. There are several possibilities for the problem. I would pull the trouble codes to start. Take the fuel cap off and have someone listen while you turn the ignition on and off a few times. You should hear the fuel pump run for a second or two each time you turn the ignition on. If no sound, maybe the fuel pump is bad. But there sensors, injector control, fuses and other causes.
