Retirement down the road a bit

My wife and I are bot 71 and still working. We want to slow down a bit.  We have 900,000 in CD's, mutual funds, stocks and cash. All are mostly IRA's. We have a Simple Retirement plan.

Our accountant is pushing an Annuity, which he sells. Everything I heard about Annuity's I never liked.

Our simple plan administrator is pushing ETF's which I have just started to research, but don't like what I see.

Over the past year I have been trying to get a 60% Bond 40% Stock ratio by moving into other mutual funds.

Please give me some advice since I have always valued your judgments.

Thanks,

 Bob

HI;

 I retired 10 years ago and fell  into the annuity trap.The only person making money on annuities is the guy selling the CRAP. Stay away from them, treat it like the PLAGUE. You don't need any changes with what I see on your portfolio.
