 How is it that if you have a set of data, x1,y1....xn,yn with a known linear relationship between x & y (y = mx + c), and the best straight line fit MUST go through xbar,ybar (xbar average of all x values, ybar is average of all y values).

How do you feel about it? If you are not real serious, it may seem a long way and not worth persuing. Now is the time to come to the realization of the relationship before someone gets too involved.  If you both feel it would work then go for it.It will take some sacrifices of time on both of you, but best to find out now than later.Right?
