Question on dependent Tier 1 visa

Hi, This is a question with regard to Tier 1. I am applying in the coming week for a Tier 1 only for myself. My wife is traveling to come here on dependent WP next week and will stay for a period of 6 weeks. In the mean time if i get my Tier 1 visa then will her visa be invalid. if so, does she get any grace time to remain back till she leaves the country because when she entered the WP was valid. Thanks, RD.
