If you are talking about one mother, it is apostrophe s (mother's); more than one would be s apostrophe (mothers'), in which case you would probably need more than one house (our mothers' houses)

I would make mothers' into the singular possessive mother's. Otherwise, the sentence states that there are many mothers sharing one house. Also, I was taught that (in America, at least) we should put the final period inside the quotation marks. I would correct the punctuation so the sentence would read as follows:

"They loved us while we were still in our mother's house."
