Properly inviting a girl over??

How do you invite a girl over without her thinking you are trying to get in her pants?  I want to just have her over to watch a movie and hang out.  I don't really feel like doing the whole dinner and bar things, etc.  Any suggestions on how to properly convey this question>

Depends on how old you are but its essentially the same idea just a little different on specifics.

Be her friend and be genuine.  Most girls can usually tell if you are faking for some reason, or I'm more transparent than I thought.

Have a point to her coming over as well.  Bring up a movie you really like and if she hasn't seen it insist she comes over to watch it.  It is a great little trick that puts the focus on the movie and not you if you are concerned with her reaction.

Best of luck!

If it is as a friend you should have no problem. Just ask her to hang out. But if you want more and you think she does too. Ask her over for a movie, some popcorn and her favorite drink and that you want to do it right by taking it sloooow. When it is over walk her to her car and kiss her on the cheek and tell her you had a good time and that you two should get together again. (If you have a good time.)

Invite her out with a group. Get a few people going somewhere (wherever your hangout is) and ask her if she wants to go. If she cant, hey you asked. But it is less akward to be around a group of people, if you cant get a conversation going, someone else will and you can always jump in. Good luck

I should tell you first that you are not alone in this. All guys and girls go through this stuff and I am glad you arent just trying to get in her pants. Okay the most simple thing to do is ask yourself "does she notice you." Does she make eye contact? Does she smile at you? Does she act funny when you are around? If any of these are a yes then she likes you but if no then you simply have to try and get her attention and the simplest way is to hang around her alot. Join the same clubs as she, try and make friends with a few of her friends...proximity is the best way to get to someone. Then once you guys manage to talk to each other pick up the courage and ask her out. Hope I helped.

Mac, I'm confused. If I just wanted to watch a movie and hang out I'd invite my buddy (or buddies) and not some girl. But that's just me, so if you haven't shown a romantic interest in her prior to now you shouldn't have to tell her anything other than you'd like to watch a movie with her. If you have shown a romantic interest, nothing you can say will convince her you're not interested in ... well, you know.

If I read between the lines here, are you saying you'd like to get into her panties but without doing "the whole dinner and bar things, etc." Geez Mac, if you like this girl and want to spend some "quality time" with her, take her out and show her a good time. Spend a little money and who knows, she might be the right girl for you.
