Prejudice

"People Sharing Knowledge"? That is laughable. Shouldn't this site be called "People Displaying Prejudices"?

Yesterday's gone and Today is going fast, Tomorrow is all we have, Until it to has passed

YA!! From some of the posts lately, especially those relating derogatorily to our new President, I am inclined to agree. But you have to realize that there are a lot of nut cases out here that have nothing better to do then spew their anger and hatred towards something they feel is directly responsible for everything that has or is going wrong in their lives. Yedda wasn't this way until after the election, and then it seems all the crazy lunatics came out of their holes looking for some sort of cathartic release, to appease their troubled minds. PLEASE, do not judge the majority of those of us on Yedda by the fruits and nut cases that have crawled out of the woodwork to wreak havoc on the threads of Yedda with their profanity and ludicrous accusations and bizzare thoughts concerning what they "think" to be the moral judgement of the general population. They are the few, but the loudest for their numbers, because the old saying still applies: "Thou doth protest too much." It says everything about those who do, and leaves little to the imagination.

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

Annette is 100% right. This like almost every social network site has its share of nut cases. I would much rather have them blow off steam then have the Internet censored. When I see that they have posted an answer, I usually don't bother to read it, and they probably do the same when they see my name appear.

People sharing opinions/experiences is a better definition but knowledge sounds better so that's the definition they went with. I agree with Annette, the constant drum beat of political bashing that goes on does bother me but when I remind myself that our constitution guarentees the right of free speech it eases the pain.

Politics used to be made up of conservatives, moderates, liberals and independents and Annette has correctly identified a fifth catagory and that's "crazy lunatics ... looking for some sort of cathartic release." I used to consider myself a conservative but now have to qualify that as "moderate conservative" Good grief, have I just added a sixth catagory?

TU Annette.

Annette and Dripby drip,

I believe that those people who don't like Obama is because he is not a good President, surrounds himself with people with questionable character and Communists like his Czars.  Why does he call them Czars?  America is going down the tube because of his own making and his Socialist ideas.  You call people who don't like Obama NUTJOBS.  That is sad.  You are very wrong and blinded by Obama's rhetoric.  Wake up and see what's going on.  Has Obama done any good?  What kind of CHANGE  has HE DONE?

DBL, there is a difference between people who don't agree with Obama and those who are so far out they are actually proposing anarchy, and I think that's what Annette means by "crazy lunatics". I was attempting to discuss (objectively) one aspect of Obama's presidency with one of these guys and he told me that all those who disagree with him should just "go live in Russia."

Reasonable people can agree to disagree and that makes the world go around but the crazy lunatics are proposing actions that border on anarchy and if they think we've got problems now, what do they think this country would be like if people "took to the streets", which is another phrase being tossed around. It's fine to disagree with Obama and his politics but where do you draw the line with regard to what you would do about it?

DBL, this time I was not making a political statement. My point is that each one of us has the right to express how we feel as long as it is done in a civilized manner. I enjoy reading what you have to say, and if it wasn't for sites like this I probably never would have had the chance to have the opportunity for this type of inter action with people from so many different walks of life.

Annette, I can't believe this is your post regarding prejudice.  Did you forget about this when you posted about the "fat" people riding scooters in stores.  Wasn't this prejudice?

There are many of us found on Yedda's pages who do not verge upon the prejudicial (or the crazy).

I suspect you may have ventured onto the AOL political threads - hotbeds of temper, name calling, insinuations and accusations to say the least.

Take some time to cruise through the rest of it.

You'll find Yedda is composed of all kinds. People who are bigoted and prejudiced and people who are not. People who can correctly diagram a sentence and people who couldn't find Spell Check if it was handed to them on a platter. The types of people you'll find on Yedda are as endless as the stars you can count in the sky.

That's what makes it interesting.
