Pregnancy hormones play a big role in how we feel especially with regards to nausea, being tired and sleepy and moody (anxious).  Because your cramping is relieved by going to the bathroom, this probably shouldn't be a concern regarding your pregnancy.  Sounds like you are anxious about the whole thing, though, and this could cause you to have gastro-intestinal upset (cramping).  If the cramping is located in the lower abdomen (where the uterus is located) this might indicate a problem, but I wouldn't worry too much as you said the cramping is relieved by going to the bathroom.    U/S is not painful at all and you will get some blood work done for the pregnancy as well.  As for the PAP test, if you had one done recently then there is no need to do another one. Are you having an ultrasound during your visit next week?  Usually it isn't done this soon in the pregnancy and you can't see much at 5 weeks.  I'm sure your doctor will explain the whole process to you.  Just try to relax until your appointment and make a list of questions for the doctor.  Good luck!!!
