What are you making from the potatoes?

Mashed potatoes? French fries? Hash browns?

That will make a difference as to how many you need.

I would say one potatoe per person assuming that you are serving ham or turkey and other side dishes along with it.

Well ,all good advice but, you should figure about 8 onces per person. There are 16 onces in a pound  so just divied the pounds  you have by 2 and that will tell you what you should use. Hope this helps,  Gary
