Hi, I have an arrogant brother. I do all I can to avoid him as he tries to act so superior to others. Your problem is different though but I have to tell you that a person has to want help to get help and all others can do is make suggestions or try to point things out.

Richa,  Donna is right.  Your sister has to want the help.  However, people like your sister don't think they need help.  They think everyone else needs help, and not them.  Your sister needs to see a good behavorial counsellor to find out why she acts the way she does.  The counsellor can help her change her way of thinking about things, so she won't be so angry and hostile.  Mom and dad need to throw her out on her butt.  Then she will realize something is wrong, and maybe then she will go and get the help she needs.  Mom and dad are being enablers.  They let her do what she is doing.  They put up with it.  I think the whole family should go for family counselling, and then separate behavorial counselling for your sister.

sounds like there might be a few things possible. 1)did sompthing bad happen.to make her stay to herself or maby she just prefers to keep her own life to herself. and would rather her family stay out and not judge or criticized her in any way..or ma by there is an drug or depression issue at hand.which causes an argumentative person at times, or Wink just her way. why don't you be a sister, an friend, sounds like someone needs to find out what ever it is..
