Parents in denial

I know a teenager that has a learning disability. Her main problems are comprehension and retention. She has had special education classes for almost the entire time she’s been in (public) school. She is enrolled in this program that is supposed to track her progress and outline goals. On paper it looks as if she’s progressing, but seeing her in action is a different story. She’s in the 8th grade, but in my opinion, her skill level is like that of a 4th grader. I may be exaggerating a little, but it’s really bad. At times it’s hard to make sense of what she’s saying because she struggles to express herself. Over the last few years I have seen no evidence of improvement. Her parent has the money to get her the help, but for some reason she won’t. What possible reason could a parent have for not doing everything within their power to ensure that their child gets the help that they obviously need?

Cause the parents are  too money hungry ,It's  a shame  parents  will choose  money  over  giving their  daughter  a proper  education  that  is  down right  sad,  I  bet  any money  they collect  SSI benefits  for   that  girl  too  which  could  pay between  $600 plus

Only 1 true reason the parents dont relly pay attention to there daughter. They will not see these things unkless a certified letter from the school is sent to them saying although educationly the daughter is improving the social/verbal comprehension ability is staying the same or may be decreasing. Unfortunatley the observing concerned party will have to sell there daughter back to them and that is depressing having to do that.
