Paid child support - still being persued

Way 4ack in the 90's i was ordered to paychild support for my 2 children in the amount of $300 per month - wen't back to court and had that number reduced to 100 per month.  The order did not say per child it said per month. 3 years ago (2006) I move to Tx - Child support was paid off in Aug. 2005 -  I get a letter stating I owe arrears in the amount of 30k!! I send all my paperwork (payment history given to me by court, revised court order) and collections stop - this happens 3 times.  I rec'd a letter 2 weeks ago saying "CSE has stopped all collections pending registration from (other state)"  Well, today - I have a garnishment of $138.64 -  What can i DO?? They claim just because we rec'd a letter stating they have stopped collection - doesn't mean they'll stop collections!  that does'nt make sense! Help Please!!

Cool Equal justice for All

The law works but the system needs changed, We all abide by the law but sometime it failes us. The same with the goverment. God bless the USA, Brign our troops HOME safely, To the men who did not get the credit they deserve, MAY GOD WATCH OVER OUR SERVICE MEN.

Check with the child support office in the state you came from not the courts as it can be a merry go round for you. And send all copies of received letters and a copy of your replys to the child support office weve the decision to reduce your amount any thin to do with this and make sure you keep the originals for your records.
