Don Fawcett, MD was a world renown cell biologist, electron microscopist and Dean of Basic Science at Harvard Medical School. A pioneer in electron microscopy and cell biology, recipient of some 7 honorary degrees, and member of the National Academy of Sciences died in Missoula MT on May 7 2009 at 92 years of age. He was renown for his artistic selection of electron micrographs and elegant Arfican Wild Animal photographs andwild flowers of Montana. He died in a retirement center in Missoula Montana on May 7, 2009.
It would be of great interest to local as well as world wide colleages to learn of his recent death.
