Well ,it is pretty clear that Obama is planning to follow the European and Canadian models for socialized health care. Cut costs by refusing care and treatment to those most needful! By targeting CT and MRI scans, back surgeries and reducing reimbursement to hospitals by $200 billion, and controlling the pay of physicians and nurses, he has taken the first GIANT step!
Question one. By bringing in the 16 million uninsured into a system which is ALREADY short of caregivers, how, and, what kind of care will these people receive?
Question two. By controlling physician and nurse's pay, what incentive is there to participate in this system? Thereby, increasing the problem!
Question three. By using Obama's own numbers, each uninsured person brought into the system will cost $62,000! Why? Health insurance does not cost ANYONE $62,000!
Question four. Who will make the decision on who gets care and who is denied? Politicians? A committee?
Hospitals in America survive on treatment of those 50 and above NOT on those 20 and 30 year olds! You can cut the cost of health care by DENYING care to those age groups! Hospitals will be forced to close because of the inability to financially survive!
Quality of care will decrease because hospitals will not have the funding necessary to by state of the art equipment!
Quality of care will be reduced because modalities currently used to early diagnose disease, will be be those diagnostic test which will be denied!
Tests which are now taken for granted , CT's of the abdomen, head and chest. MRI of the knees and spines will not be accessible.
This is a reality that is being overlooked by those supporting this system. Simply because the belief that inclusion into the system, will be the system they see now!
NOTHING can be farther from the truth! The health care system which they are not participating in now, will not be the one the are included in , in the future!
ALL will have access, but not ALL will have care!
If Obama was serious about reducing health care costs, he should be screaming about "Tort reform", and controlling the rampant fraud in MediCare and MediCade! Not a word about either!
The costs for this program both morally and financially are too great for this country to bear! The system has FAILED everywhere it has been tried!
If you are following the same model, the result WILL be the same!
NOTHING the government has EVER been in control of negates this view!
Parents, grandparents, children dying for lack of care and testing! Legalized Euthanasia!
