Need information on a cult, help!?

One of my friends has started emailing a group she calls the society of rebirth and ascension... I figured it was a cult and told her so, but she says they were really helpful. Has anyone ever heard of these people?

If I were you I'd stay as far away from this dude as possible. Relocate if you have to. I f it isn't a cult it's a racist group or possibly a gang of sort. This due is trouble no matter how you look at it or what he says.

Greetings!  I have not heard of this particular "society" so I googled it.  It appears to be an offshot of the cult that swept Hollywood.  Sort of a pseudopsychological pseudoreligious type thing that frames things through computuers.  These types of cults pray on people like your friend who are seeking answers and then suck them in.  I'd be done with it if I were her.  If she is trying to seek out further knowlege, perhaps the better bet would be to have her enroll in a comparative religions course which would give her an overview of what is currently out there.  This certainly doesn't sound like anything she should be involved in.  Good luck.

Hi Jessica

If you or your friend is looking for God the creater of this earth, then this is not the place to look.  This is all about you and not Jesus.  You can check out this sight and see for yourself.  http://musubikurobi.blogspot.com/2009/06/those-who-seek-simple-pleasures-of-life_9033.html

I have not heard of them at all, but based on the name you gave it is not hard to guess it is a fringe group that has been visiting the kook-nut tree a little too often.

I'd be interested in knowing how your friend found them and how she feels they are being 'helpful'.

Love everybody!Smile

There are so many cults; they are all so very helpful. That is how they get people hooked into them. They bend over backwards to be helpful. They begin to draw you in to their group and to withdraw you from your friends. Tell her to watch for the isolation. They don't even want you to see your family--mother,sister, anyone who may help  you think. They do all the thinking for you. They tell you everything.

Actually they indoctrinate you with their beliefs. It is all based on kindness, trust, and isolation and so called teaching.  Like your friend they never believe it is a cult and don't like it when you talk against it.
