I just killed a snake in my yard that was close to my children's playyard hiding in a nearby sega palm bush. The snake was approximately thirty to thirty six inches (30-36") long and approximately 1 1/2 inches in diameter. It was black with yellow stripes with a greyish yellow belly. It spread its neck flat and wide and rose up like a cobra and hissed and tried to strike me. Please inform me what type of snake this is.
