My husband is falling apart. Over the past few years, he has been diagnosed with collapsed foot requiring reconstruction, 3 lipomas surgically removed (2 in knees anteriorally), type II diabetes, high trigylcerides (VERY VERY high) but normal cholesterol, enlarged heart (but nothing dangerous detected because of that) extraodinary pain and swelling in lower extremities, complicating most ADL. Now using a walker but only able to make it 10 feet without a sit down rest. No difficulty breathing, excellent mental capacity, good humor, and broken bones in his feet. My 43 year old husband has the body (knees down) of a 90 year old. It takes him 10 minutes to stand up and grab a walker from the bed and has to go up the stairs on his butt. Any similarities that aren't just SCARE ideas... looking for reassurance or good ideas to give to MDs. Obviously, we are making adaptive lifestyle changes, but... you get it. Also, of course, like most of America right now... no insurance. LOL. Please help. Respond to qusie@aol.com. Thank you!
