Name of boxer from the late 1930's

My grandfather was a boxer before 1940. He used the name,FIGHTING JOHNNIE HOGAN. I would like to know how many fights he had and won. Mom told me he won a belt, but could not take it home because his mother did not approve of fighting. Grandpop is from the Scranton,Penna area. His real name is Daniel D. Lenihan. Any help you could give me would be appreciated.

No Johnny Hogan from Scranton PA. There was one from Philaelphiia, according to BoxREC He may have been an amateur champion and the records are hard to find, even from the 1970's . . . You can try a couple of Websites, CyberBoxing Zone and www.TRuFanBoxing.com, and post your question also. They may have the answer since they have access to many archives, and newspaper articles. all the way back to the early 1920's...
