Motorcycle sounds lousy, need help

motorcycle exhaust baffle technology

I have a Vance&Hines muffler on my '08 1900 Yam Stratoliner 2 into 1, I also have a Big City Thunder baffle to lower the sound. What I am getting is the clap clap of a metric bike. I want a deep throaty sound that a v twin this size should produce. Bike sounds flat, not throaty at all!! Any suggestions??

With the size of that engine it should not sound lousy, it should sound very strong and powerful. Take it to an exhaust shop and have them run a couple tests on it. the exhaust pipes may not be sealed properly. You need the backflow to help the sound and if the flow is escaping through unsealed pipes this will cause your bike to rattle, tick, and sound flat.
