That website seems to have it covered but here is an example.

To add mixed fractions 2 2/3 + 4 3/4 + 3 5/6

1) Add the whole numbers: 2 + 4 + 3 = 9

2) Find a common denominator for fractions, (12 for this example), and add them.

2/3 + 3/4 + 5/6 = (8 + 9 + 10)/12 = 27/12 = (24 + 3)/12 = 2 1/4

3) Finally add the whole number total to fraction total

9 + 2 1/4 = 11 1/4

I hope that helps you,

Regards - Ian
